I first got into using a slant board for this stretch when I went to physical therapy after back surgery. I had always done this lower leg stretch after running with both my feet planted level on the ground. My PT therapist had a slant board, and so I understood just how effective it can be to use a slant board instead of what I had been doing. I've wanted to buy one of these, but the price of the wooden ones is just too much money for me.I came across this item while browsing Amazon and decided that the price was right and that I'd give it a try. In short, this is a perfect slant board for a lower leg stretch. Yes, it's only a black foam slab cut on a bias, but it supports my body just fine and doesn't break or become misshapen. I think this product will be very durable and I can't imagine it not lasting for at least a few years, if not longer. While you get two slant boards with this product, I'm only using one. The picture shows this product to be a bit narrower than it is in reality. I position the slant board about 2 feet away from the wall, put both feet on it, and then lean forward, using the wall as support. You can immediately feel the stretch in your lower leg. I do three sets of 30 seconds each. The product stores easily and is as light as a feather. If you're a runner or need physical therapy that includes this stretch, consider this product. This is one of those times when less expensive is actually better! I'm not sure how this would hold up to day-in and day-out use in a commercial setting like a physical therapist's office, but for an individual or family, this is an excellent product that does the job at a very affordable price. There are no instructions that come with it, and I'm not aware of any other use for it other than this stretch. If you live in a small apartment, storage might be an issue you need to think about. If, however, you have the room to put it away after each use, it is ideal for its purpose.Highly recommended.
