I bought this wheel not even two months ago for my two cats that are 10 pounds each. My cats loved the wheel. But only after the first week, did I notice that the base was breaking apart. As shown in the picture. As well as, the screws holding the wheel together continually coming loose causing banging/clunking when the cats would walk/run on the wheel. Tightening the screws would help for about a week until they would come loose again causing the same issue. After a month we tried blue loctite to prevent the screws from loosening. But only a week later did I notice a screw sticking out of the wood about half an inch. It became so unbearable that we decided to retire this wheel only after a month and a half! Everytime the cats would try to walk or run on it, it would be very loud causing them to be afraid of it. For $300 this should last A LOT longer. Now we are stuck with a wheel that we cannot fix and cannot use and are out $300. I will never buy another wooden cat wheel.
